Here at ImagiCorps, part of how we’ve always celebrated this season of giving has been donating to local organizations that provide the less-fortunate in our community with fundamental basic human needs: housing, food, shelter, and clothing. We endeavor to choose effective organizations that maximize the giving that passes through their hands.

On a 2018 trip our founders came face-to-face with a need that most of us will never experience, the need for a resource we take for granted and the single most important ingredient in sustaining life - Water. Our founders met a family and were inspired to make a difference in their lives, and in turn an entire village

VILLAGE OF JOHNSTON, SOUTH AFRICA

Every day, the residents of this village had to walk great distances to retrieve enough water to sustain themselves and our founders realized that a well would not only provide them water, it may also give them back perhaps truly our most precious resource - time.

A PRECIOUS RESOURCE

They decided to make a direct impact and help our neighbors half a world away discover what could be if they were able to fill this one need. So, they drilled a well in Africa! Seems like a simple thing, water, but it’s something we take for granted every day we turn on the faucet.

DRILLING FOR WATER

Over the years our founders have kept in contact with Jonas and his family and since the well, have provided the family with solar power, fertilizer, and sponsored the children’s education. Most recently the eldest has graduated from the University of the Free State.
