The Ex Awards are the Oscars for the experiential marketing industry, and for the past 15 years the best of the best have been recognized annually within a variety of categories. We were extremely proud to be invited and be seated amongst all the finalists competing for these prestigious honors.
We were incredibly impressed by many of the programs that took home awards. There were so many wonderfully creative and daring ideas. If you have some time, you should go to You Tube or search for 2017 Ex Awards and you’ll see what we mean. One particular favorite of ours was the Gold winner in Best Vehicle Design where Inspira Marketing Group had the clever idea to turn an Airstream trailer into a mobile toaster with a bagel and English muffin popping up from the top.
The other two finalists in our category (Best Production of a Consumer Event) delivered tremendous work too – the Infinity Marketing Team for HP and Magnetic Collaborative for Bacardi. We were incredibly proud of our work but when HP was announced as Silver, Bacardi was announced as Gold and we realized that we had taken the top spot for the Pokémon World Championships we were actually in a bit of disbelief.
Our President & CEO, Thomas Hutchinson accepted the award and thanked Event Marketer, our industry colleagues and mostly the talented team of creators and producers at ImagiCorps that embrace our “Never Say Never” mantra.
On returning to the office, we gathered and the trophy was unveiled. Again, Thom congratulated the team and reinforced the fact that it was their efforts, skills and passion that made it happen. Then he issued a challenge to do even better and raise the bar even higher.
